Angela Gossow Urach
Angela Gossow had three younger siblings and was born in Cologne. After her parents divorced, she was only 17 years older. Her parents' business also was bankrupt, adding to her financial troubles. The fact that she was anorexic and also bipolar was a further cause of the problems she was facing. Concerning her decision to resign as ARCH ENEMY's singer Gossow said simply There's the right time and the proper place for everything. When I started in 1991, I was just beginning my career. My joy in doing it began to fade. After a while, I realized that I could not pretend anymore, but rather take a break.
