Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, an American-Canadian singer and songwriter. She has released more than 20 albums. The music of DiFranco is classified as alternative rock, folk rock, but it also has hints of hip-hop and jazz. Ani DiFranco was the very first artist to establish her own label in 1990. Ani is widely considered as one of the feminist icons. DiFranco was born on 23rd September 1970, in Buffalo New York. Her parents were Elizabeth (Ross), from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as well as Dante Americo DiFranco. Her father was Italian origin and her mother was born in Montreal.
