Coleman was born in Blackpool Lancashire. She studied at Arnold School in Blackpool. In her time as headgirl, she scored straight A grades for her A-Levels. In a discussion about her Emmerdale role, Coleman stated that she regrets not having a conventional university education. Coleman joined a theater company, In Yer Space while in school. She performed with them at the Edinburgh Festival for the play Crystal Clear. The show was awarded a prize to her for the show, and the production received an enthusiastic reception. Coleman won the Emmerdale character Jasmine Thomas after auditioning with drama schools. In 2007, Coleman was nominated for two prizes. Coleman won two nominations in 2007: Best Newcomer at the British Soap Awards; and the most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. The award was presented to her in the categories of Best Actress, Sexiest Woman as well as Best Dramatic Performance at the British Soap Awards 2009. Coleman was awarded a Television Choice Award nomination for Best Actress. Steven Moffat revealed at a Doctor Who Press Conference on March 21st, 2012 that Coleman was to play Matt Smith as the Doctor's Companion following the departure of Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and others left the show. Moffat stated that he picked Coleman to play the role of companion due to her ability to be the best companion for Smith. In addition, Moffat noted that she spoke faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Elle has been in the world of film since 1987. Her most well-known work is her television work rather than film. Eva's TV roles on The Dr. Maria Santos, in All My Children, and Detective Natalia Boa Vista in CSI Miami make an impact. Eva was nominated for the two "Daytime Emmys" in the first role, and she also had the opportunity to express her musical creativity. Eva isn't just acting, but she's also a businesswoman and philanthropist. Eva is married to three men and has a child from the second.
