Dua Lipa is a Brit artist/singer born in London United Kingdom on August 22nd, 1995. In 2014, following a career as an actress and model she signed with Warner Bros Records. She dropped her self-titled debut album in 2017. It climbed to the third position on the U.K. Chart for Albums. Eight singles were released including Be the Only I.D.G.A.F. and New Rules (UK number one). The album also climbed at number 6 in the United States. Lipa was awarded the Brit Awards for British female solo artist as well as British breakthrough act in 2018. Her album was certified platinum worldwide. Future Nostalgia Lipa released her new album in 2020. It's time to celebrate the birth anniversary of Dua's birth right here. Dua Lipa was conceived by London in the UK by Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa rexha (mother) and Dukagjin lilipa (father). Her maternal grandmother is the reason she has Bosnian descent. You can also trace Lipa's ancestry through Peja in Kosovo. Her grandfathers were historians as well. There are two sisters, Rina and Gjin. The father of Lipa, who was a guitar player and singer in the Kosovan band Oda was a major influence on her music. Her father at home continued to play music including his original compositions as well as songs from David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Sting The Police and Stereophonics. Lipa began singing when she was just five years old. In the age of nine she learned how to sing. Lipa has covered If I Ain't Got You as well as Beautiful by Christina Aguilera, both on YouTube. Lipa has signed Warner Bros. Records a contract in 2014. The first single she released was New Love was released in August, 2015.
